Ormonde Nursing Home is situated in Branksome Park, which is a unique area of Poole being occupied with large tracts of woodland. A short walk through this woodland leads you to the local beach at Branksome Chine, which is a great setting for walks with the family. Located just a short walk from the home is the local public house, The Inn In The Park, which has is a homely atmosphere, perfect for drinks with the family. The Home is set in its own grounds, which have a lovely patio area and lawns for residents to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Dorset air.

We have ample parking for visitors and is easily accessed via the local bus services.

Local businessman, Mr Abdul Jaffer, purchased the Home in 1998, who has since, been actively involved in the refurbishment and upgrading of Ormonde. He is also committed to ensuring that the Home provides the highest standard of care in comfortable and homely surroundings.

We specialise in providing the highest standard of care and comfort to our elderly residents needing dementia care. Our experienced and qualified registered nurse is on duty 24 hours a day and leads a team of care assistants, trained to meet the needs of our residents. The nurses and carers experience enable them to meet a wide variety of both physical and psychological conditions associated with the older age group.

Branksome Park is one of Poole's most affluent areas alongside Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs, Evening Hill, Lilliput, and Salterns Marina. It is on the border of Poole, with Bournemouth being on the other side of The Avenue. It is less than two miles (3 km) from the shopping areas of Westbourne and The Square in the centre of Bournemouth is nearby.

Local facilities include a sports area with tennis courts and a bowling green. Branksome park also has a small public library and is home to the All Saints Church constructed in 1877, and a school for disabled children which is located on the outskirts of the area.
